BIO

Kyvèli Zoi is a painter based in Athens, Greece. Influenced by her multicultural background, in her paintings she creates oneiric situations that highlight the connection between human communities and the broader natural environment. Often inspired by music, social struggle and history, her visual language is composed by an amplified theatricality that celebrates the details that make the ordinary, extraordinary. Kyvèli has exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions internationally, from New York, Paris, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Istanbul, Brussels, Gothenburg, Naples and Athens. Her collaborators span from galleries and collectors to film and theatre directors such as Yorgos Panousopoulos, as well as musicians and designers such as TOD’S. In 2021-2022 she was awarded the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship. Kyvèli is also the founder of KYAN, a residency program in Athens.
